FOR BEST RESULTS: Which kind of photos/images should I submit?

Your photograph will turn out beautiful as a YourPhotoTo™ product if: 1-3 main subjects within your photo occupies a minimum 50-80% of the space of the entire photograph (i.e. face closeup(s) work best) The main subject of your photo is markedly different in color/contrast from the background of photo (i.e. it is difficult to see a black dog sitting on a black sofa in a dark room). Blurry pictures should not be submitted. Multiple subject or family reunion type images should be avoided.
About adding (uploading) photos?

Adding or uploading photos refers to the process of transferring the digital files from your camera or your local disk drive into the YourPhotoTo™ dealer site. The method you use to upload photos will depend on whether your camera is digital or film. Digital camera owners: You must first transfer the photos to your local disk drive. Then upload the picture during the image upload process. Film camera owners: You will need to first develop your film, scan the photos, transfer them to your local disk drive and then upload the selected picture during the image upload process.
What are acceptable file formats?

You must convert all electronic photos to JPEG (.jpg) files before uploading them to the dealer site. Before you begin uploading images from your local drive, double check to ensure the photograph you wish to upload is stored as a JPEG (.jpg) file. The JPEG format allows our designers to provide you with the best-quality photographic rendering in your choice of YourPhotoTo™ product. If your images are currently saved in a format other than .jpg, you can use an image-editing application to convert the files. Once your photos have been saved as JPEGs, you can upload them to YourPhotoTo™.
How long will it take to upload my image?

It can take as little as a few seconds or as long as several minutes to upload each image. The time will vary, depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the file size of the photo. For example, it takes 2 to 3 minutes to upload a single 400 KB file over a typical 56kbps modem. It may take 20 minutes to upload a 5MB (maximum allowed) image at this speed.
What are your image requirements?

Minimum file size of 50 KB, Max file size 10 MB - Scanned images must be 300 dpi - JPEG only - Quality at Max. (12) - Digital Camera images require a minimum of 3 mega pixels, high resolution - File types: JPEG only - Quality at Max. (12) - Close-up images create the best results - Blurry pictures should be avoided - Multiple subject or family reunion type images should be avoided.

What is your return policy?

We strive to please all customers. Quality satisfaction terms on all finished products are based on the image requirements being met (provided within these FAQs). If the image requirements are not met, before producing the product we will contact the customer requesting an alternative image meeting our requirements. If the requirements cannot be met, we will provide the customer with the option of continuing production with that image. In that case, the sale will be final. For finished products that have been produced after having met the image requirements, there is a satisfaction guarantee. In the unlikely event of receiving our product and not being satisfied, return the product to the Dealer within 7 days of order receipt and we will either redo it free of charge or you will receive a refund. Color/Image Variations - Please note that when we create your woven tapestry heirloom, some color variation will occur. The color variation occurs because the number of color possibilities in our specially dyed yarns is less than the number of color possibilities in an actual photographic image. When we create your woven tapestry heirloom, we select the yarn colors that most closely match the colors in your actual photographic image. Woven tapestry products are less precise than actual photographic images.
